  • The hardest elite drones are those ones that fly right-to-left on the screen. No shadow warning, very small on-screen path, near-impossible to pull the screen to see far enough to the left for a second chance at hitting it.

On another note, sometimes I am tempted to think the game secretly has access to my camera and knows when I am paying less attention so that it can send me elite drones then. But I know this is unreasonable.

    • That is a strange theory, on ios systems can you check an apps permissions? Cause on android we can check the permissions that the app has to our devices.

    • Yes, we can check permissions.

It doesn't request the camera. I'm just joking that it "seems like" it knows when I stop paying attention.

    • I feel like there's one that flies through the upper left hand corner from right to left. I've only seen it out of the corner of my eye, and I've never caught it.

    • Developer really needs to disable the housing and silo clicking when there is an elite drone on screen, because too many times they get in the way (and I know I have clicked on the drone, but it detects me trying to click on the building)

    • ex-actly. its pretty annoying if you have big habs such as hab 1000s or monoliths(which i dont have yet)

i have encountered more than 25 elite drones and i havent caught any yet

      so annoying

Try dragging your finger over the drones instead of tapping them. Maybe even multiple fingers. That way, habitats don't get tapped and the swipe still knocks down drones.

    • Interesting, I’ve found success doing the opposite on my iPhone, tapping as lightly and directly as possible on the drone, like a hen peck.

    • That works too, but you'd have to be perfectly accurate lest you accidentally tap on a building.

    • I've found the dragging method DOES NOT WORK if it moves the screen (say you're trying to drag to the offscreen area to hit a drone belatedly), primarily if it's an Elite Drone. It can only be tapped while in the viewing area the screen was initially in when it first appeared.

    • This was probably a glitch, but I thought I saw an elite drone that was invisible except for the lights

    • I think it's a glitch as well - but I've also seen that.
