This is an advanced page for those who wish to learn about the maths of Tachyon Prism boosts. A useful tool for determining boost combinations can be found here.

Tachyon Prisms increase Internal Hatchery rates.

If a Tachyon Prism is active, the stats page in the main menu will change to reflect the increase in production. The stats page is per minute, and per hab.

Tachyon Prism Boosts[]

Name Multiplier Time (minutes) Cost (Golden Egg}}) Cost (Boost Token}}) MT MTG MTB MTGB
Tachyon 10 10 50 0 100 2 100 2
Large 10 240 500 0 2400 4.8 2400 4.8
Powerful 100 10 1,000 2 1000 1 500 0.5
Epic 100 120 5,000 2 12000 2.4 6000 1.2

Supreme 1,000 60 25,000 4 60000 2.4 15000 0.6

If you have at least one tachyon boost running, using a boost beacon as well will treat the boost beacon like a compounding tachyon boost - that is, while both are running, you can multiply the two multipliers together to get the new multiplier.

Boost Beacons[]

Name Boost Multiplier Running Time (minutes) Cost (Golden Egg}}) Cost (Boost Token}}) MT MTG MTB MTGB
Boost 2 30 1,000 1 60 0.06 60 0.06
Epic 10 10 8,000 4 100 0.01 25 0.003
Large 5 60 15,000 3 300 0.02 100 0.01
Legendary 50 10 50,000 8 500 0.01 62.5 0.001

Combine like values for maximum efficiency; for example, optimal MTB is a large boost beacon and a supreme tachyon prism. However, this is generally overkill. The following table assumes a maxed out farm and maxed out epic research (x3 multiplier) with no chickens in it, then does the maths for you on how to buy chickens with eggs and boost tokens, assuming you are only using two boosts (efficiency drops off very rapidly if you use more than 2 boosts).

All statistics are calculated at the 'buy one' price. The price difference does not matter, as the discount is proportional.

  • MT = (Multiplier * Time)
  • MTG = (Multiplier * Time) / Golden Eggs
  • MTB = (Multiplier * Time) / Boost Tokens
  • MTGB = (Multiplier * Time) / Golden Eggs / Boost Tokens

The Multiplier times Time (MT) statistic is the statistic for those who want to grow quickly and also have plenty of golden eggs. This stat is a measurement of the rate in which chickens are gained and the amount of time that the multiplier is running. As a result, it spends time the most efficiently.

The Multiplier times Time over Golden eggs (MTG) statistic measures how much bang you get for your cluck. The higher the number is the more value that you will get for the amount that you spend. This measure spends golden eggs the most efficiently.

Multiplier times Time over Boost Tokens (MTB) is the same as MTG, only measured relative to boost tokens, not relative to golden eggs. If you have plentiful eggs but boost tokens are scarce, this will spend boost tokens the most efficiently.

Multiplier times Time over Golden Eggs over Boost Tokens (MTGB) measures efficiency by both eggs and tokens equally; this is never actually true, but if you are low on both golden eggs and boost tokens, this can be a helpful rule of thumb.

Calculate your own rates[]

On the stats page, there is a number of chickens per hab per minute. To access this page:

Main Menu (9-dot button) --> Stats --> row "INT. HATCHERY RATE"

Note that this value will be suffixed with MIN/HAB. This value will be between 0 Min/Hab and 7,440 Min/Hab(Up to 16,676 Min/Hab with artifacts).

Take this value from your stats and multiply it by the amount listed for the number of chickens that will be received with the boost.

Formula
Tachyon x 400
Large x 9,600
Powerful x 4,000
Epic x 48,000
Legendary x 40,000
Supreme x 240,000

Example: My stats page reads 5,740 min/hab. I want to know how many chickens I will have after I use a powerful tachyon boost. I take my 5,740 min/hab and I multiply it by 4,000. This is now a measurement of how many chickens I would have gotten in that time frame without the use of a boost plus the number of chickens that the boost gave me.

5,740 * 4,000 = 22,960,000 chickens created in the boost time.

This amount of chickens becomes even larger when you have researched the 'Internal Hatchery Calm' epic research, giving an additional multiplier for the calculation if you activate a tachyon prism just before you go offline. This additional multiplier is 1.0 for 0 times researched and increases by +0.1 each time you spend golden eggs to research this epic research. If you have, for example, researched this epic research 15 times, then (using the same formula as before) you have a multiplier of 2.5, and your total created chickens are calculated as follows:

5,740 * 4,000 * 2.5 = 57,400,000 chickens created in the boost time.

Note that you would have to stay offline during the entire duration of the tachyon prism's boost!
