Farm Value (abbreviated FV) represents the total value of your farm. This is used to discover and upgrade to new eggs, and determines how much money drones, elite drones, boxes, and videos offer, as their money values are a fraction of your Farm Value.

Current Approximate Formula[]

Farm value is proportional to these factors:

  • A multiplier by the epic research "Accounting Tricks"
  • Egg value
  • Egg laying rate per second
  • Earning bonus multiplier (mystical eggs). Note that to calculate this, you must take your displayed Earnings Bonus percentage (without any artifacts equipped) in game, divide by 100, and add 1, to express it as a multiplier. Artifacts that impact earnings bonus do not impact Farm Value.
  • Your max running chicken bonus. (Unaffected by Terra Stones)
  • The sum of the four following modified versions of population:
    • 1.00 * Effective population
    • 0.20 * Ineffective population (limited by shipping rate)
    • Habs vacancy ^ 0.6
    • 0.25 * Internal hatchery rate * Number of habs * Max away time in minutes.
    • Total Internal hatchery rate = Internal Hatchery Rate * Habs * Max away time in minutes
      • If the Epic Research Internal Hatchery Sharing is completed, number of habs is always treated as 4, no matter how many are actually built.
  • Egg type coefficient (2 if edible, 3 if superfood, ..., 19 if universe, 20 if enlightenment)

The same formula, simplified slightly:

In other words, depending on whether or not you are shipping capped (total shipping is at least total laying), this simplifies further:

Notes for troubleshooting:

  • Your displayed EB is rounded. For a precise answer, you must manually calculate your EB from your Soul Eggs and Prophecy Eggs. It can be done using the following formula:

This can be simplified if all Epic Research is completed:

When calculating EB, do not include any artifact multipliers (Book of Basan, Prophecy Stones, Soul Stones).

  • Your Laying Rate per Chicken is not 0 just because you have 0 chickens. The base rate with no upgrades is 2; if you have maxed out Epic Comfy Nests, your base rate will be 4.
  • Remove all artifacts before checking your stats to put into the formula - only lenses modify Farm Value, which otherwise uses your artifactless numbers, which you have no way to display in-game with the artifacts equipped.
  • The only Artifact that directly influences Farm Value is the Mercury's Lens, however, Chalices and Life Stones result in more chickens over time, indirectly resulting in a greater Farm Value.
  • The Gusset can also influence farm value. If the extra space provided by the gusset is being used, the hab capacity is treated as your current population. Farm Value Hab Capacity = max(unmodified hab capacity, actual chicken population).

With maxed out Research and provided you've bought 4 Habs and as many Silos as you can, everything in the formula is a constant except for Population and you will not be shipping capped for Farm Value purposes. To give you a sense of scale for the population portion of the formula, :

  • At P=0, it is about 1,078,370.
  • At P=11,340,000,000, it is equal to 11,340,000,000.
  • In relative terms, filling your habs from empty to full raises the Population term by approximately x10,516.
  • Note that maxed out, IHR*MaxAwayTime is 2,678,400 for a standard permit holder and 13,392,000 for a pro permit holder. Remember that the P component is multiplied by 4 before the two are added together in this context.
  • If you have no source of chickens other than IHR (i.e. you don't use the manual chicken hatchery to send chickens and you don't equip any Life Stones or Chalices), the final component simplifies to:
    • As a corollary, the Pro Permit's effect changes the term from having roughly 15 "free" minutes to 75. If you increase your IHR via artifacts and stones so your population grows faster, the pro permit becomes equivalent to fewer and fewer additional minutes.

Old Formula (pre-1.12)[]

Note: Accounting Tricks is an Epic Research. In the formula, it will be 1x if not upgraded, 2x if fully upgraded.

(One way to think of the first two terms is as follows: You earn 10% of your farm value just from building habs, and the remaining 90% by filling them with chickens to the brim. The third term is fairly irrelevant as it will be about 0.7-3% the size of the second term.)
