Artifacts are a feature of Egg, Inc. introduced in the Version 1.20 Update.

Players gain access to artifacts once they reach the Rocket Fuel Egg Farm and have at least 1 Soul Egg. Artifacts as well as stones can be obtained by Spaceships on missions. They can be viewed on the "Hall of Artifacts" screen on both home and contract farms, where you can equip them or break them down to get Golden Eggs or Eggfinity stones.

Each artifact offers its own bonus depending on its type, tier, and rarity. In this way they are similar to Boosts, but they have a permanent effect as long as they remain equipped. Players can by default have only 2 artifacts equipped at a time, but with the Pro Permit they can equip up to 4 at a time. Certain artifacts have sockets into which players may place stones to power them even further. Each Artifact can only be used on one farm at a time. If you have multiple of one artifact, it can be used on different farms.

List of Artifacts

Note regarding tables below: There appear to be Rare, Epic, and Legendary versions of each artifact, and I've heard that they have 1, 2, and probably 3 sockets in them, respectively whereas normal artifacts (of any tier) have 0 sockets. If someone has more information to validate this, then feel free to change the tables below accordingly by adding colored numbers separated by slashes depending on the tier.

The image of a rare artifact is the same as its usual image but with a blue light surrounding the item. The image of an epic artifact is similar, but with purple. Given Egg Inc's usage of colors, it would make sense that legendary artifacts would have a yellow light. Please confirm/deny if you know this is true/false.

Are these names correct? The "Rare" name doesn't match the format of the other known names so far, but if a lot of these have a "Rare" option then it could explain why only 3 tier names are known for many artifacts. Rare is an extra modifier, artifacts with it have higher stats along with slots for stones, rare artifacts have 1 slot, and epic ones have 2 slots. Rare or epic artifacts cannot be upgraded however.

I have also seen mention that there is a "Powerful" and "Eggceptional" Lunar Totem, so maybe Tier 3 is meant to be "Powerful" and Tier 4 is "Eggceptional"?
